Marie Osmond to Attend LR Fundraiser in April

The singing star to take part in Bolo Bash.
LITTLE ROCK, AR (News release) – Fans of Marie Osmond will get the chance to see the Grammy-nominated singer and previous host of "The Donny & Marie Show" (1976-81) in person, as she is the special guest and featured speaker at the 25th annual Baptist Health Foundation Bolo Bash luncheon on Wednesday, April 9.

Osmond has achieved a great deal in her career including recording "Paper Roses" at the age of 12 making her the youngest female artist to have her debut go number one on the charts. Osmond has recorded over 35 albums and has a number of gold records. A standout career highlight for her was a Country Music Association's "Vocal Duo of the Year" award for the song "Meet Me In Montana."

Osmond has starred in Broadway's "The Sound of Music" and "The King and I." She is also co-founder of the Children's Miracle Network.

The Bolo Bash is Baptist Health’s largest fundraising event and has raised more than $9.5 million to improve and enhance the care of Arkansans since its kickoff in 1989.

The event will begin with a silent auction at 11 a.m., followed by Osmond speaking at noon in the J.A. Gilbreath Conference Center at Baptist Health Medical Center.

Proceeds will benefit Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock's neonatal intensive care unit.

Tables or sponsorships for the Bolo Bash luncheon are now available and can be purchased in advance by contacting Baptist Health Foundation special events coordinator, Jamie Deason at (501) 202-1827, or Jamie.Deason@baptist-health.org.
