LR Nightclub Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, Another Hospitalized

The Monday morning incident happened around 1:45 at the Quarter Note on Asher Avenue.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - One man is dead and another hospitalized after a shooting at a local nightclub early Monday.

The Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) says Jonathan Talley, 21, of Little Rock, died after being taken by private car to Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Brandon West, 27, of North Little Rock, was taken from the scene in an ambulance. He was in critical condition at last report.

Police say the shooting happened around 1:45 a.m. today at the Quarter Note nightclub, 4726 Asher Avenue.

Witnesses told officers the victims and two suspects had argued before the shooting.

According to the police report, West was shot at the club's front door. Two other victims were reported to have been grazed by bullets.

Police say one suspect has been arrested and identified as Michael Strickland, 23, of Little Rock. The police report states that marijuana and a large amount of cash was found with Strickland.
