Louisiana Scout Leader Drowns at Buffalo National River

It happened late Monday afternoon at Robinson Hole near Woolum.
SEARCY COUNTY, AR - A Louisiana man has drowned along the Buffalo National River.

A news release from the National Park Service says the body of David Donaldson, 49, was found around 5 p.m. Monday at Robinson Hole near Woolum.

The release states that Donaldson was a scout leader on a multi-day floating trip with several scouts from New Orleans.  

Carroll County and Searcy County Dive Teams, Mennonite Services, and the Searcy County Sheriff's Office assisted Buffalo National River Search and Rescue with the recovery efforts.  

National Park Service officials say rangers are still investigating the accident and that details of the drowning are not yet clear.
