BENTONVILLE, AR (KNWA)- The tale of this tiny kitten fighting back from starvation at a Bentonville shelter caught the eye of the Huffington Post.

Fabulous Felines NWA volunteers posted Stuart Little's story and transformation on Facebook a few months after a rescuer delivered a litter of sick kittens to them.

Stuart, according to the group's Faceboook page, was the smallest of the litter and had eye infections, a flea infestation and was malnourished. In fact, the volunteers write they thought he was already dead.

But, as illustrated by their Facebook album, this little runt clung to life. He's now 8 months old and has been adopted by Amanda Rhea, one of the volunteers at the shelter.

"When Stuart's brothers and sisters starting getting adopted, I realized for the first time how attached I was to the little guy," Rhea told The Huffington Post in an email.
