Arkansas State Police Investigating Alexander Double Homicide

Arkansas State Police report a Little Rock man and Alexander have died after two people entered an Alexander residence and began shooting, investigators say about 20 people were in the home at the time.

ALEXANDER, AR – Arkansas State Police are trying to find out who killed two people at a home in Alexander last night.

They said Joe Thomas Dickinson, 40 and Patricia Tucker, 45 were shot and killed Friday night when two men went inside a home near vine Street and Highway 111 and started shooting.

Witnesses told police there were more than 20 people inside the home when the shooting happened around 11:45 p.m.

“They came in and asked for a name, then started shooting at about 20, 30 people,” said Jeremiah Maple who witnessed the shooting. “They didn’t care who they killed.”

The 78-year-old said his neighbors were having a small gambling party at the home—something he said the neighborhood does every weekend so he was surprised there was a shooting.

“I was blessed because it couldn’t been me! That was a surprise thing, really because they—I mean they have fun out here at someone’s house every weekend.”

Neighbors described Patricia Tucker, the woman who died, as a kind, funny lady who helped raise her grandkids.

“She was just at the wrong place at the wrong time,” said Gary Peters who knew Tucker. “It’s devastating.”

No one else was hurt as a result of the shooting.

State Police Special Agents are working on this case.
