Man Dies in Early Morning Fire In Scott

A fire at a mobile home on Henson Road killed an unidentified 66-year-old man, two other people were able to get out.

SCOTT, AR -- A man is dead after a fire at a mobile home in Scott early Sunday morning.

Emergency crews responded to the fire on Henson Road around 2:45 a.m.

The residence was occupied by a 66-year-old male, a 44-year-old-male, and a 50-year-old female. 

The two younger people were able to escape the residence.

The body of the 66-year-old male was later discovered by fire department personnel. 

As the subjects escaped the residence, they woke up the 58-year-old male who resided in a camper next to the mobile home. 

That camper also burned.
 
The cause of death and the origin of the fire has not been determined at this time. 

The body has been sent to the Arkansas Crime Lab. 

No names are being released at this time.
