Update: Jefferson County Deputy Charged in Late Night Shooting

Criminal Investigator Randy Jackson has been on paid leave following a shooting at Swann's nightclub on July 5th.

PINE BLUFF, AR - Randy Jackson, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy allegedly involved in a late night club shooting on July 5 was charged with Battery 1 a Class B felony on Thursday.

Original Story (July 12):
PINE BLUFF, AR -- The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Investigator whose actions are being investigated following a late night shooting has resigned.

Criminal Investigator Randy Jackson  has been on paid administrative leave since the shooting near Swann's Bar and Grill early in the morning on July 5th.

The internal investigation is underway to determine if Jackson violated any departmental policies.

A spokesperson for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says his resignation was accepted as submitted.
