KARK 60 Web Extra: 1959 Little Rock Today Show

Recent discovery of special broadcast celebrating Hawaii becoming the 50th state.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - As KARK celebrates its 60th anniversary in the television business, we're sharing a special find from the station's very limited vault of early films.

It's a 1959 segment (see attached video) of the long-running Little Rock Today that was a station mainstay weekdays at noon until the 1990s.

It features hosts Bud Campbell and Betty Fowler as well as newsman Les Bolton and others whose names are listed in the credits at the end of the broadcast.

The show had a Hawaiian theme because it was observing the selection of Hawaii as the 50th state.
