I-55 Work Requires Overnight Lane Closures in Crittenden County

Crews will replace raised pavement markers damaged during snow and ice removal between the I-40/55 Interchange and 2 miles south of the Highway 50 exit (Exit 17) near Clarkedale.
LITTLE ROCK, AR (News release) - Improvements to Interstate 55 will require overnight lane closures in Crittenden County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will install raised pavement markers to replace those damaged during snow and ice removal. The work is being performed between mile markers 7 and 15, between the Interstate 40/55 Interchange and 2 miles south of the Highway 50 exit (Exit 17) near Clarkedale.

The northbound moving outside lane closure will be Tuesday night, May 6 through Wednesday morning, May 7 between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m., weather permitting. 

The southbound moving outside lane closure will be Wednesday night, May 7 through Thursday morning, May 8 between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m., weather permitting. 

Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs. Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
