Hit and Run Victim Speaks about Ordeal

Doriece Hill said he forgives the driver whom police said struck him.

LITTLE ROCK, AR -- The young victim of a hit and run last week said he's not mad at the driver who struck him and then left.

That hit and run happened at the intersection of Baseline Road and Oman Road in Little Rock last Wednesday.

Doriece Hill was in the middle of the road headed home when eyewitnesses say a driver hit him.

Officers nearby said the driver stopped but then kept going when she noticed him.

The hit knocked Hill unconscious.  He's suffering from a broken leg.

"I'm really not upset with her. Everyone makes their mistakes. Do better next time," Shirley Hill said.

Hill looks forward to getting back to school.  He said he doesn't want to get too far behind.
