Highway Improvements Bring Lane Closures This Week

Several highway projects will require a few lane closures this week.

LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Motorists have a few lane closures to be aware of this week.

Improvements to Interstate 40 will require eastbound ramp closures in St. Francis County. The work will affect an eastbound exit ramp 241B and the eastbound entrance ramp for traffic heading southbound on Highway 1B in Forrest City.

The ramp closures will be Monday night and Tuesday morning between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., weather permitting.

Crews will be working on a bridge on the new highway 149 overpass near Shell Lake.

The bridge will be closed from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. through Friday.

Crews will also be clearing debris on Highway 70 to improve drainage on the roadway.

The clean-up will take place in Garland, Hot Spring, and Montgomery counties and will cause lane closures from 9 until 3.
