Fairness Hearing Instructions for Desegregation Settlement

A fairness hearing is set for January 13th and 14th. Anyone opposed to the proposed plan can write the Court.

LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Anyone opposed to the proposed desegregation settlement plan for school districts in Pulaski County can challenge the agreement by writing to the court.

A fairness hearing is set for January 13th and 14th.

This hearing allows parents, students, or even teachers and staff to submit a letter stating their objection to the plan.

The agreement calls for an end to nearly $70 million a year to fund the Little Rock, North Little Rock, and Pulaski County Special School districts.

A judge tentatively signed off on the plan but said he must conduct a hearing to get all the facts.

The letters are due by December 23rd.
