Dover Woman Wins $40,000 with Powerball Lottery Ticket

Jeannie Lucus spent three-dollars for chance to win prize.
A Dover (Pope County) woman has won $40,000 from the Powerball Lottery.

Jeannie Lucus spent three-dollars for a Powerball ticket with the Power Play option to lead herself to the prize money.

She bought the ticket at the Murphy USA in Benton.

Lucus told lottery officials when she cashed the ticket today that her mom was the first person she told about winning the money, and said she's going to use the winnings to pay off her bills.

She also said her winning numbers were a combination of her the birth dates of her son and grandchildren.

In other lottery news, millions are up for grabs in the next Powerball and Mega Millions drawings.

Tonight's Powerball jackpot is $90-million and Friday's Mega Millions jackpot is $21-million.

You can watch both drawings live only on KARK 4 at 10 o'clock tonight and Friday night.
