Curtain Closes Temporarily for Robinson Center Music Hall

Today dignitaries were on hand as they pried the boards off of the Robinson Center stage as the historic music hall undergoes a multi-million dollar renovation.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - And the show, well it won't be going on at Little Rock's Robinson Music Hall.

Arkansas' biggest performing venue is officially closed, at least for now.

Today dignitaries were on hand as they pried the boards off of the Robinson Center stage as the historic music hall undergoes a multi-million dollar renovation.

Governor Mike Beebe and Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola were on hand to speak before renovations begin.

"So congratulations to everybody, this is going to be the start of something that's really going to be really nice here," said Governor Beebe.

The Robinson Center Music Hall has been in Little Rock for 76 years.

The center is expected to re-open Fall 2016.
