Could Bad Weather Keep the Runners Away for Little Rock Marathon?

Marathon leaders are paying close attention to the weather.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - Little Rock Marathon leaders are paying close attention to the weather but they say the run will go on. Crews are setting up for the Expo Center and are ready for the more than 11-thousand runners and volunteers to fill up this place.

Chief Meteorologist Keith Monohan tells us rain and cool temps are expected, but organizers say, no biggie!
They tell us they won't cancel the event unless ice or tornadoes in the forecast. Runners say they say can handle rain.

"Wear a trash bag, wear a raincoat and layer up underneath. It's fun. You can make it a whole lot of fun," says marathon organizer Gina Pharis.

The marathon starts at 6 a.m. Sunday morning.
