Coldest High Temps Break Records in Some Arkansas Towns

Highs reached early on May 14 as wet weather moves through the state.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - The National Weather Service (NWS) Office in Little Rock reports that several stations have broken 24-hour coldest high temperature records for May 14 already today. 

The stations are listed below along with their high temperature in the last 24 hours and the previous record coldest high temperature for May 14.
  • Marshall: 54, previous record 56 in 1996, records since 1892
  • Waldron: 56, previous record 61 in 1926, records since 1919
  • Mena: 57, previous record 59 in 1912, records since 1887
  • Batesville Livestock: 58, previous record 59 in 1953, records since 1941
  • Booneville: 58, previous record 62 in 1920, records since 1906
  • Mountain View: 58, previous record 59 in 1996, records since 1924
  • Conway: 62, previous record 63 in 1953, records since 1890
  • Alum Fork: 60, previous record 68 in 1953, records since 1937
  • Hot Springs: 60, previous record 61 in 1953, records since 1875
  • Morrilton: 61, previous record 61 in 1996, records since 1919
  • Murfreesboro: 61, previous record 64 in 1989, records since 1970
