Bryant: No Tax Increase for New Schools

By a 60 to 40 margin, Bryant residents said no to a $4.7 million increase.
BRYANT, AR -- Voters in Bryant decided Tuesday night they don't want a tax increase to pay for new schools.

By a 60 to 40 margin, Bryant residents said no to a $4.7 million increase, which would have resulted in an extra $10 a month in taxes, give or take.

Had the measure passed, Bryant's school district would have used the money to build two new schools and add more classrooms onto others.
