BAUXITE, AR -- Bauxite school leaders are packing punches when it comes to fighting the flu.
Each day, custodial staff members disinfect tables, door knobs, faucets, and anything else students and teachers touch.
In the cafeteria, school leaders stack the tables to try to keep them free from infection.
Students are urged to wash their hands as often as possible and are encouraged to take advantage of the hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the school.
"Our nurse highly recommends that if you're a child or school employee and you have flu like symptoms with fever, stay home," said Kim Arnold, assistant principal of Bauxite Middle School.
Arnold believes their tactics have worked because they've not had an outbreak there.
