Arkansas Marketing Firm Helps Zoobooks Go Digital

A contact form submission leads to a wildly successful partnership for Mass Enthusiasm.
LITTLE ROCK, AR (News release) - A beloved brand from the 1980s inspired a sincere message sent through its site’s “Contact Us” form. That message then lead to a new client for Arkansas-based marketing agency, Mass Enthusiasm

“We were talking one day about Zoobooks, and we wondered if they were still around,” said Chris McMillen, president of Mass Enthusiasm. “Our web developer, Andrew Sever, decided to contact them through their site, and we got a phone call the next day.”

Zoobooks, which was established in 1980 and is published by Wildlife Education, Ltd., provides learning fun for children of all ages. The series explores the anatomy, habitat, socialization and ecological role of a single animal or animal group in a vibrant, easy-to-understand way.

“They wanted to see what our capabilities are so we designed some web banners for them,” McMillen said. “Once they reviewed those, they asked us to take on the redesign of the entire site.”

Originally, Zoobooks were offered through vending machines at zoos throughout the United States. In the 30 years since its founding, Zoobooks moved from those few machines to subscriptions in homes, schools and libraries as well as zoos and other parks around the world. The new website will include digital subscriptions and games in addition to other Zoobooks products.

The new site design for zoobooks.com will launch in late 2014.
