Are Arkansas Teachers Paid Enough?

State lawmakers discuss teacher pay.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - Lawmakers at the State Capitol are set to discuss whether the state's paying school teachers enough. 

Education committees of the Arkansas House and Senate meet this morning to tackle the issue. 

They'll examine where Arkansas ranks compared to neighboring states and if more can be done. 

According to the state, the starting salary for a teacher is around $30,000. The average salary is roughly $47,000.
