2014 Candidate Filing Wraps at Ark. State Capitol

Over 400 candidates filed for a variety of state and federal offices at the Arkansas State Capitol.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - Over 400 candidates filed for a variety of state and federal offices at the Arkansas State Capitol.

The Arkansas Secretary of State says 19 candidates filed by the 12pm deadline Monday with a total of 412 over a six day period.

Sheena Lewis completed paperwork and paid a $3600 filing fee as the last candidate to file.

Lewis said she had no intention to be the last one in line.

"It's just one of those things, we've actually been gearing up for this for quite sometime," Lewis says. We've been campaigning for about two years already, we've just been kind of busy."

Lewis is running for a House seat in the legislature currently occupied by state representative Darrin Williams, D-Little Rock, who is term limited and can not seek reelection.
