$11K Worth of Stolen Items Recovered in White County Arrest

Deputies arrested James Massey of Judsonia in connection to several burglaries and thefts. More arrests are expected to be made.
WHITE COUNTY, AR (News release) - On Feb. 11, deputies and detectives with the White County Sheriff's Office, assisted by Arkansas Game and Fish Commission officers and investigators with the Central Arkansas Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant at a residence on James Street in the Plainview community.

Deputies were able to locate items that were tied to several burglaries and thefts. Among the approximately $11,000 worth of items recovered were several stolen firearms, electronics, police gear (including badges that were used during an armed home invasion robbery), tools, an ATV and a stolen vehicle.

Arrested at the residence was James Massey, 37, of Judsonia. Massey had outstanding warrants for probation violation; and additional charges of aggravated residential burglary, possession of a firearm by certain persons and theft by receiving-all felony charges-will be filed against him. Massey is being held at the White County Detention Center on $25,000 bond. Additional arrests are expected as this investigation continues. "We have a very hard-working and dedicated group of deputies that work for the citizens of White County and recoveries such as this go to show that. During the month of January alone, our detectives were able to recover over $250,000 in stolen property and made 23 felony arrests in connection with active investigations," says White County Sheriff Ricky Shourd.
