Countdown to Kickoff: What Does It Take to Get Razorback Stadium Ready?

The football Hogs open the season Saturday afternoon against Louisiana-Lafayette.
FAYETTEVILLE, AR (KNWA) - It's down to just four days before kickoff at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium for the Hogs 2013 football season and the beginning of the Bret Bielema era.

As fans await that first game of the season, folks at Razorback Stadium are putting the finishing touches on the field and bleachers.

The 500,000 square foot facility will be the home on Saturday to thousands of fans roaring for the Razorbacks, but Justin Maland with the Razorback Stadium says he and his crew have been working ahead of the big game to make sure the stadium looks great.

"Obviously, it's quite the task. It's a year round task to be quite frank. You basically take a facility, you shut it down in November, you bring it halfway back up in April and then you obviously have to get it back to 100-percent in August," he explains.

Kickoff for the season opener on Saturday is at 3:00 p.m. against Louisiana-Lafayette.
