Cold Weather Keeps Ducks from Swimming Holes

Sheets of ice covered some ponds in Arkansas on Tuesday morning.
MAGNOLIA, AR - The cold weather is keeping ducks from their swimming holes in Arkansas.

Temperatures in the teens and below early Tuesday had some ponds frozen over with sheets of ice.

In Magnolia, on the Southern Arkansas University (SAU) campus, a flock of ducks appeared to walk on water as they waddled over ice that kept them from their morning swim.

In other SAU news, staff is gearing up for registration in Texarkana on Jan. 9-10 at the Hampton Inn from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Registration in Magnolia will be Jan. 13-14 and classes begin Wednesday, Jan. 15.
