FAYETTEVILLE, AR (News Release) - The University of Arkansas saw a total of 59 Razorback student-athletes achieve success in the classroom for the spring academic semester, as the Athletic Department announced Chancellor's List and Dean's List honorees on Monday.
Forty-three Razorbacks were named to the Chancellor's list and 45 earned a place on the Dean's List to combine for a total of 99 spring academic honors earned by Arkansas student-athletes.
Women's Track and Field had the largest representation of any Arkansas team this spring, as nine Razorbacks made the Chancellor's List and 10 were recognized on the Dean's List. Having posted a 3.28 cumulative grade point average, the Razorbacks were named the Women's Track and Field 2013 Indoor Track Scholar Team of the Year last Wednesday. It marked the second consecutive year the team claimed indoor team of the year honors.
Emma Lavy, Kayli Quinton and Victoria Vela all held a perfect 4.00 grade point average for the spring to pace women's golf, as each made both the Chancellor's List and Dean's List. Arkansas women's golf finished with a 3.670 cumulative GPA to rank 10th in the country in the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-Scholar Team GPA awards.
The Chancellor's List honors students who uphold a perfect 4.00 GPA, while enrolled in at least 12 semester hours. The Dean's List recognizes students who maintain a 3.50 GPA, while enrolled in at least 12 semester hours.
