Allegations of Sexual Contact with Children Jail Former Asst. Fire Chief

Charles "Hank" Hawkins, 45, is being held in the Faulkner County Jail.
CONWAY, AR - A former assistant fire chief and EMT with the Cato Volunteer Fire Department (Faulkner County) is behind bars after being accused of having sexual contact with children.

Charles "Hank" Hawkins, 45, of Greenbrier, was arrested Dec. 11 by the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) after the parents of one child filed a report stating the allegations of inappropriate sexual encounters.

The FCSO says two more victims are also making claims of sexual abuse by Hawkins.

The children are from 4-6 years old.

FCSO investigators will turn their case file over to the prosecuting attorney on Thursday for formal charges.

Hawkins will be held on probable cause without bond until formal charges are filed.

Hawkins resigned from the Cato Volunteer Fire Department the day after his arrest.
