10-Year-Old Teams with Uncle Si to Help Cancer Patients

This week, millions of Americans will tune in to see the season four premiere of Duck Dynasty get underway on A&E.
MOUNTAIN GROVE, Mo. - This week, millions of Americans will tune in to see the season four premiere of Duck Dynasty get underway on A&E.

For that very reason, a 10-year-old Missouri boy thought he could transform a trip from one of the show's stars, Uncle Si Robertson, into cash for cancer victims.

The youngster waited in line at a Mountain Grove event -- not for himself, but to benefits others.

"I wanted him to sign some duck decoys so we can auction them off in the live auction," says Mitchell Underwood. "It's for St. Jude's. All the money that we raised on that will go to St. Jude's."

Underwood had a mission -- a focus that left Uncle Si in awe.

"Just to help them get through their cancer faster," adds Underwood.

"You watch that guy cause one day he's going to grow up and do something pretty special because of that selflessness," said Alan Robertson, the newest cast member of the hit TV show.

"Where did it come from?” said Underwood. "I guess my heart."

A gesture for others that Si says has a higher calling.

"That will not go unnoticed upstairs with the big man, you know what I'm saying?" said Uncle Si. "Hey, that's the coolest thing about it all."

Those signed duck decoys will be auctioned off by Underwood and his family at an event in Thayer in February.
