LITTLE ROCK, AR (News release) - The Arkansas State Highway Commission approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Pulaski County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
The purpose of the project is to reconstruct and widen 1.3 miles of U.S. Highway 67 in Jacksonville. The work includes replacing the bridges over Redmond Rd. and Main Street. Crews will also resurface the associated interchange ramps.
James Construction Group, LLC of Baton Rouge, Louisiana was awarded the contract at $41,943,453.50.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. The project should be complete in early 2016.
