LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- As Arkansans step up to be mentors, many kids at Thrasher Boys and Girls club are getting matched and the word is spreading.
One of the many kids waiting to be matched is Bailey Carroll.
Some people say it's fun to have a mentor and it helps them out to be a better person in life."
That's why Carroll is hoping she's the next to get a mentor, and she has a pretty good idea of what she is looking for in someone.
"Somebody else to look up to other than family to trust."
She also says someone to help her achieve her career goal of becoming a teacher.
"I like kids. I like others, helping others."
Most of all though, Bailey is just looking for a friend to hang out with.
"I would like them to come up to my school at lunch."
A future educator among many kids and teens, who are looking for a leader to help guide them in and out of the classroom.
