Update: Pulaski County Inmate Escapee Captured in Kansas City

Update (September 23):
LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that escaped inmate Anael Castro-Hernandez is back in police custody after he was captured in Kansas City, Missouri by the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

Hernandez, an accused rapist escaped from police custody on August 25 while being transported to receive a mental health evaluation.

LITTLE ROCK, AR - A reward is being offered for information leading deputies with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office to an escaped jail inmate.

Anael Castro-Hernandez, 30, has not been seen since he was spotted in woods near Interstate Park on the city's south side Monday morning. He got out of custody around 8 a.m. while being driven to the Pulaski County Courthouse for a hearing in his case.

The man had been jailed on child rape charges since May 2013.

There is a reward up to $1,000 from Central Arkansas CrimeStoppers for information leading to his capture.
