Pulaski Tech Students Compete in Auto Skills Competition

LITTLE ROCK, AR - The sounds of students testing their skills at North Little Rock's Pulaski Tech today .

High school auto tech students across the state were there to compete in the Ford Triple a Student Auto Skills Competition.

Students have to identify and fix "bugs" in identical 2014 Ford Fiestas then drive the Ford across the finish line .

Officials say these skills can lead to high paying jobs.

"America needs qualified workers in automotive skills, we all drive vehicles they all have problems, new cars are great but they have to be serviced, they have to be repaired they have to be kept in tip top condition we can train these young men and young ladies in great high paying jobs," says Dave Fisher.

They now get a chance to compete in the national competition June 8-10 at Ford's World Headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan.
