Bentonville, Arkansas -
ENTONVILLE, AR (KNWA) - A fired Bentonville School District employee already accused of raping a 5-year-old girl on the campus of an elementary school now faces additional rape and sexual assault charges involving two more alleged victims.
The new charges involve two girls, both age 6, according to police.
Ali Matar Jr., 21, of Lowell, was already being held in the Benton County Jail on a $75,000 bond when police arrested him for a second time on Thursday.
Matar was previously arrested on May 14 by the Bentonville Police Department for rape as a result of accusations related to his employment with the school district’s Adventure Club Program at RE Baker Elementary School. Matar was still in custody at the time of his second arrest on Thursday.
Similar to his first arrest, Matar is now being held on additional allegations of deviate sexual activity and/or sexual contact with the alleged additional victims. Police say these incidents also occurred at Matar’s former place of employment, the Adventure Club Program at Baker Elementary.
Thursday’s arrest resulted in Matar being held for an additional $175,000, for a total bond amount of $250,000.
