Only in Arkansas: Grace Manufacturing

RUSSELLVILLE, AR - For nearly 40 years, these machines have cranked out a precision product forged by hands of Arkansans.

"Basically any kind of finishing work that goes with that. So we can make almost anything you want out of thin metal."

Grace Manufacturing, an international company calls Russellville home since 1977.

"We make medical blades for people," says Tim Heikes.

Director of operations, Tim Heikes tells us they specialize in thin metal manufacturing.

You likely have never seen most of these products unless you've gone under the blade in an emergency room, but there's one product you likely have seen.

"Which has become more worldwide than anything else, more well known is the mircroplane grater."

Cut, pressed and shaped the microplane grater blade is then sent on to be packaged, eventually landing on shelves of your local store.

The product is actually used daily on TV.

"Food Network stars, that kind of thing."

It's a special feeling for the Arkansans that played a part.

"You'll see those people pull the graters out and it makes you feel like I was part of that. I made that. Right here in Arkansas."

Grace Manufacturing employs about 135 Arkansans that help make the company what it is.

"There's nothing better than the people themselves."

Which lends to the name, Only in Arkansas.
