YELL COUNTY, AR - A woman remains jailed the day after the bodies of her husband and infant son were found in the Ouachita National Forest outside Danville.
Brooke Floyd, 21, is not charged in the deaths of Brian Floyd, 33, and Harper Floyd, 10 months, but faces charges of Hindering Apprehension and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.
She was found in a wooded area on Friday with cuts and bruises but it's not been revealed how she got those injuries.
Officials with the Yell County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) say Mrs. Floyd is the only person of interest in the case.
Any further charges filed against her will be up to the prosecutor when he receives the not yet completed investigation files.
The bodies of the man and child were found Tuesday afternoon in a remote area off Forest Service Rd. 18 near where Mr. Floyd's pickup truck had been found the day before. The YCSO has not revealed any information about how they died.
Authorities have not yet released details about what the Floyd family was doing in the area. Mr. Floyd and his son had been missing for five days before they were found dead.
