UALR Athletic Director of 14 Years Resigns

LITTLE ROCK, AR - The University of Arkansas at Little Rock's athletic director of 14 years has resigned.

Chris Peterson, who was entering his 15th year as the Trojan's athletic director sent in his letter of resignation on Tuesday saying he has been very blessed to work outstanding athletes and coaches, and is looking forward to the next chapter in his life. (See attached)

Peterson ushered in a new era in Trojan athletics in 2005-06 with the unveiling of the Jack Stephens Center. The state-of-the-art 5,600-seat facility became the new on-campus home to the Trojan volleyball and basketball teams.

During Peterson's tenure, the UALR men's basketball program has graduated 100 percent of its players who have exhausted their eligibility under head coach Steve Shields.

Peterson is a 1977 Wisconsin-Milwaukee graduate.
