FAYETTEVILLE, AR (KNWA) - "U.S. News & World Report" has released its latest ranking of the nation's best graduate programs, and the University of Arkansas has improved its marks since last year.
Three graduate programs at the U of A have risen in the ranks, including:
- The College of Education and Health Professions, placing 86th overall and 70th among public grad schools. Last year, the program was ranked 132nd overall.
- The full-time M.B.A. program at the Sam M. Walton College of Business ranks 55th overall and 30th among public business schools. This is an improvement from 66th-place overall ranking.
- The School of Law, coming in at 61st place overall and 33rd among public law schools. The university's law program has been moving up in the rankings, as well -- ranked 73rd overall as recently as 2011.
"This progress in the recognition of University of Arkansas graduate programs is very impressive, and truly a mark of the hard work that is being done on our campus," said U of A Chancellor G. David Gearhart. "Strong graduate school programs are one of the hallmarks of any great public research university, and these rankings are proof that we are steadily moving toward our goal, to be recognized as a Top 50 public research university."
