LITTLE ROCK, AR - Some of Little Rock's school playgrounds will soon be jumping.

Not because of recess, but because a lot of kids will be taking advantage of the Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department's Summer Playground program.

It's for children between the ages of 6 and 15.

There will be supervised fun activities on site and field trips.

"It's a great opportunity for parents to make sure their kids are in a safe environment during the summer. We try to have as much fun as possible and sneak a little learning in on them," says Mike Garrity, Assistant Recreation Supervisor.

The cost is 90 bucks for eight weeks and includes breakfast and lunch.
