EL DORADO, AR (KTVE) - El Dorado Chemical recently announced a 600 million dollar expansion project.

Officials say the first phase of the expansion is the construction of a new ammonia storage tank; they call it a "key part" of the project.

"That's one of the storage tanks that we will be building that will store the anhydrous ammonia after we produce it. It's a 19 million dollar tank that will take almost 2 years to build," said Greg Withrow, general manager of El Dorado Chemical.

El Dorado Chemical said the expansion is expected to create 45 more job opportunities for the community.
