Services Set for Engineer Killed in Hoxie Train Crash

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Services have been set for the Union Pacific Engineer killed earlier this week in the collision of two trains in Hoxie (Lawrence County).

Chance Gober, 40, of White Hall, died in the accident early Sunday morning. Roderick Hayes*, a Texas man who also worked as an engineer for the railroad, was also killed. Two other Arkansas workers were left injured.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Home Directors in Pine Bluff.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday at Family Church in White Hall. Burial will follow at Leek Cemetery in Star City.

*A funeral service for Hayes will be held at noon on Saturday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
