FAYETTEVILLE, AR (KNWA)- When fans arrive here at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium Saturday, they will see alcohol sales in certain areas of the stadium.

You'll recall that the athletic department announced in February that Sodexo, the team's concession brand, will sell beer and wine.
It's important to know that the sales are being restricted to club seating.

Not only will you see drinking in the stadium, but you'll always find plenty of drinking happening before and after the game. It's always a major headache for UAPD but the department spends a lot of time planning for football season.

"We have debriefing after every game, uh, ideas to help improve," said Capt. Gary Crain of UAPD. "Any issues or problems that come up and so those things are dealt with on a game by game basis."

The department has over 200 officers coming up this weekend to help with traffic but UAPD says that alcohol sales in the stadium shouldn't create a problem for their officers.

"Those sales will be strictly people who are of age and who have tickets to those areas so that won't be an issue," said Crain. "The issue is, as it's always been, people trying to bring it in when they don't have any right to do so or they come and they're already intoxicated."
