NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR - North Little Rock School District broke ground on a new school Thursday.
The dirt is shoveled and construction can begin on Glenview Elementary. It's apart of phase two of the capital improvement plan in district.
It will be a state of the art facility that officials say will enhance everyone's educational experience.
Dorothy Williams, aboard member, said the district is constantly improving and they are overjoyed.
“This was a fantastic day for us, because we as board members have been good stewards and knowing next year we will have three more schools completed, and with this everything is going well for us,” she said.
The school is set to open next year.
Renovations on Crestwood Elementary also began on Thursday.
