Last night several parents and even students spoke out at an advisory board meeting for the Pulaski County Special School District (PCSSD) hoping to keep a popular program that may be on the chopping block.
But several other changes must happen including transportation and even staffing.
"Most of the money in a school budget is in people, is in positions, but we have a lot of people that leave every summer, and we will be able to offer people opportunities and continued employment, or we should be able to," says Superintendent Dr. Jerry Guess.
The desegregation funding cuts are set to take effect in the 2014-2015 school year.
