LITTLE ROCK, AR  --  Mike Ross, the Democratic candidate for Arkansas governor, discussed his recent job announcement plan with KARK 4's Brittney Johnson. It's called "Jobs First."

The focus is on improving education, lowering taxes, creating more and better paying jobs and getting rid of government rules and regulations that he says never worked or are no longer working.

As governor, Ross wants to create a bi-partisan task force to come together and review all rules and regulations from state agencies boards and commissions that have existed more than 3 years to determine if they're still needed or if they ever worked.

Ross also talked about his goal to become the "Education Governor." He said he was shocked when opponent Asa Hutchinson was critical of that statement. Ross says education goes hand in hand with job creation.
