MAGNOLIA, AR (KTVE) - The group, Arkansans for Compassionate Care (ACC) is hosting a public meeting in Magnolia tonight on its proposed medical marijuana legislation.
Gary and Melissa Fults of the ACC will be on hand to answer questions, and discuss what they say are the benefits of medical cannabis. They’ll also be circulating a petition, to get the Medical Cannabis Act on the Arkansas state ballot in November.
If passed, the bill would allow doctors to prescribe marijuana for “serious debilitating medical conditions.”
The meeting will be held in the community room at the Columbia County Library at 6 p.m.
In 2012, Arkansans voted down another initiative that would have allowed the use of marijuana for medical use, but only by a slight margin.
