Hot Springs, Arkansas -
LITTLE ROCK, AR (News release) - Median wall maintenance on Highways 70 and 270 (Martin Luther King Expressway) will require lane closures in Hot Springs, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
Crews will be cleaning and clearing drains along the median wall. This work can’t be accomplished under normal traffic conditions due to the lack of space between travel lanes and the median wall. Therefore, the work will require portions of the eastbound and westbound inside lanes to be closed.
The eastbound inside lane closures will be Monday, April 28 through Thursday, May 1 and Monday, May 5 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting.
The westbound inside lane closures will be Monday, May 5 through Thursday, May 9 and Monday, May 12 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting.
Traffic will be controlled using cones and warning signs. Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
