JONESBORO, AR -- The Hispanic Community Center in Jonesboro hosts a day of events to promote health and fitness in the community.
Dozens of people gathered for the Hot Pepper Festival in downtown Jonesboro this weekend.
The free event is a celebration of Hispanic culture.
Executive Director of Hispanic Community Services Gina Gomez says she was pleased with the turnout.
"The festival just keeps growing every year just like the Hispanic community keeps growing," Gomez said. "We have more people attending so that's wonderful."
This year, 5k and 10k runs through downtown Jonesboro were included in the event.
The family fun day also included food, music, arts and crafts, and a petting zoo.
This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for HCSA.
Gomez says the festival helps integrate the community.
