LITTLE ROCK, AR (News release) - Improvements to Highway 70 will require a lane closure in St. Francis County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
Crews will be overlaying asphalt on Highway 70. The work will extend east from Highway 38 in Widener to Highway 75. In this area, traffic will be reduced to one lane.
The lane closure will be Wednesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 10 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., weather permitting. The work will resume Sunday night, April 13 through Friday morning, April 25, weeknights, 6 p.m. until 6 a.m., weather permitting.
Traffic will be controlled using flaggers, cones, and warning signs. Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
