LITTLE ROCK, AR - Improvements to Highway 1 will require a lane closure in Desha County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
Crews will construct asphalt shoulders on Highway 1 between Back Gate and Watson. The work will reduce traffic to one lane in the construction area.
The lane closures will be Monday, April 21 through Thursday, May 8. The closures will only occur Mondays through Thursdays between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using flaggers, cones, and warning signs.
Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
