RANDOLPH COUNTY, AR - The Arkansas Game & Fish Commission is investigating after a large dog was killed Thursday in an animal attack north of Pocahontas.

That's according to the AGFC Facebook page, where it was posted around 10 this morning that wildlife officers were heading to the scene of the attack near Country Club Rd. and Endicott Trail.

The Facebook post was in response to another post referencing a story on the KAIT Region 8 News (Jonesboro) website about the Randolph County Sheriff's Office receiving a report of the gruesome attack.

The KAIT report stated Sheriff Gary Tribble suspects a bear is to blame and is urging residents in the area to be cautious.

The story is generating conversations on the ArkansasHunting.net's forum (click here).
