Conway, Arkansas -
CONWAY, AR - Fourth District Congressman Tom Cotton is telling some veterans how he feels about the Veterans Administration funding bill approved last week in Congress.
Rep. Cotton, who is challenging Sen. Mark Pryor for his seat in the U.S. Senate, was in Conway Tuesday night.
An Iraq veteran himself, Cotton spoke before a group gathered at a VFW post about his support of the funding bill.
"I love being with veterans, you know, Arkansas has one of the highest populations of veterans in the country based on the size of our state, we have a very high enlistment rate. Arkansans are a very proud and patriotic people and I always enjoy being able to spend time with veterans and I'm so proud to have so many veterans supporting my campaign," Cotton told the crowd.
Cotton is on a series of campaign stops during an August recess for Congress. Election Day is now less than three months away.
